The motor is built-in to the hub of a front or rear bicycle wheel 16″-27″/700C (3 speeds available). A choice of batteries (SLA, NiMh or Li-Po (LithiumPolmer)) is available for different range, budget and weight requirements.     Geoff, you can’t yet buy one off the shelf, but you can order a brompton from any good bike shop (12 week wait when I ordered mine though) and then order a kit from http://www.nano-motor.co.uk/nanobrompton.php

    My brompton should be ready for me in second week of December - can’t wait! :)
