Wikipedia
Joerg and Tom have helped develop a Mediawiki extension to assist in Wikipedia’s efforts to reduce vandalism.

This has included seeding the development, and interfacing with the non-tech people. Joerg wrote the first approach in PHP and Tom has done some Javascript work. Members of the Wikipedia community then stepped in to take on most of the development work. That’s the power of open source. :)
